Imagine VC partner Joe Smith shared a password with a team of 35 individuals, but his company only paid for 1 seat on Pitchbook. This is a violation of the terms of use, poses a security risk, and adds friction to account managers day to day via lack of an effective way to manage password sharing.

Account Password sharing causes significant revenue loss from spun off accounts, creates friction with customers, and less efficient workflow for account managers, hence an opportunity to streamline that process to make account managers' lives easier and not put them in a spot to either lose a sale or antagonize a customer 

 and expose the platform to security risks and account compromise and creates an information governance gap for product and security teams
